The 13km Thames Marathon is a true test of grit and endurance, offering swimmers the rare chance to conquer one of the longest and most beautiful stretches of the River Thames.

Spanning from Henley-on-Thames to Marlow, this epic point-to-point challenge takes participants through 13km of winding river, past rolling countryside, quaint villages, and historic bridges.
It’s not just the distance that makes this swim special—it’s the journey. The peaceful flow of the river contrasts with the relentless effort required to push through mile after mile. Surrounded by nature and history, swimmers find themselves immersed in the landscape as much as the water itself. With meticulous organization, top-notch safety support, and a camaraderie among participants that fuels determination, the 13km Thames Marathon delivers a spectacular, unforgettable experience for those bold enough to take it on.

Ullswater is often described as the most beautiful of the Chillswim swims, & it’s easy to see why. The lake is quieter, wilder & more dramatic than Coniston, with huge mountains rising straight out of the water for much of the route. It’s a favourite among many experienced swimmers, & a brilliant step up if you’ve already done a long lake swim & want something that feels properly special.
